Integrative and Functional Medicine

How to Start?

You are welcome to start with a free, brief Meet and Greet visit.

  • We can talk about your options.
  • Many people will qualify for Dr. Roberts’s Group Medical Visits Program, paid for by MSP. This can be a great starting point.

The Meet and Greet visit is 10-15 minutes. It is to consider your health concerns, needs and goals and then make a plan for how to proceed next.

We will make a plan for how to arrive at a plan for your health. This appointment is not for giving you treatment advice. A plan for medical care and health protection is developed together over the following appointments and after a lot of exchange of information.

For Functional Medicine visits, the first step is an in-depth visit – the Initial Consultation.

This appointment is 1 hour and 20 minutes, including reviewing your medical history form and any reports or documents.

Following this you can choose:

  • Appointments as needed (without a program plan): the Regular Fee Schedule applies
  • Program Plans:
    • Project Thrive: Finding and Fine-Tuning Your Personalized Health Plan
    • Head Strong: Brian Health featuring The Bredesen Protocol

Fee Schedule:

Regular Fee Schedule:

  • Initial Consultation:  $312
  • Follow-Up Visits:  $250 per hour (visits of 30, 45, 60 and 75 minutes)

Visit Plan Programs: (20% reduction in fees)

Project Thrive: $1050  (Initial Consultation plus the first 4 hours of follow-up)

Head Strong: $1850  (Initial Consultation plus the first 5 hours of follow-up and associated program management)

Following the initial included follow-up time, further appointments are at the reduced fee schedule (within a year of the Initial Consultation):

  • Follow-Up Visits:  $200 per hour (visits of 30, 45, 60 and 75 minutes)

Project Thrive: Finding and Fine-Tuning Your Personalized Health Plan

• You can choose to book appointments as you go, and pay the regular appointment fees.

• Or, you can choose to pre-pay for an amount of follow-up time, with a reduced fee schedule.

• A minimum of 4 hours of follow-up time (not including the Initial Consultation) is my threshold for committing to you that you will have reduced fees for all your consultations for a year’s time.

To encourage you to commit to a realistic amount of time and follow-up care, the fees are reduced by 20% for those who pre-pay for the Initial Appointment and four hours of follow-up time. You can make this choice before your Initial Consultation or after that appointment and still receive the reduced fee for the Initial Consultation.

An added bonus is that, when the 4 hours have been used, you keep that 20% fee reduction for the rest of a 12 month-period from your Initial Consultation. So, within a year, if you go on to have more visits after the 4 hours of follow-up time, you keep your access to the reduced fees.

You can cancel your Plan at any time and get unused fees refunded. Cancelling your plan also cancels the reduction in fees, so the refund will be based on the normal fees you would have paid without the Visit Plan (the Regular Fee Schedule).

Please be aware: The four hours of included time is not meant to imply that this is the right amount of time you will need. This is simply the minimum time that I think would be needed for a good, useful interaction regarding your health goals over a year. I think almost all people would benefit from more consultation time than that to meet their goals. The realistic thing is to expect that you will want more time than that.

The Plan is a way to say – if you commit to at least 4 hours of follow-up, I will commit to you being on the reduced fee rate for all your appointments for a year’s time.

So, the 4 hours is my threshold for committing to reduced fees for your visits, not a statement of how much visit time would be best for you.

Head Strong: Brain Health featuring The Bredesen Protocol

For people who will be having care related to The Bredesen Protocol.

• You can choose to book appointments as you go, and pay the regular appointment fees.

• Or, you can choose to pre-pay for an amount of follow-up time, with a reduced fee schedule.

• A minimum of 5 hours of follow-up time (not including the Initial Consultation) is my threshold for committing to you that you will have reduced fees for all your consultations for a year’s time.

To encourage you to commit to a realistic amount of time and follow-up care, the fees are reduced by 20% for those who pre-pay for the Initial Appointment and five hours of follow-up time. You can make this choice before your Initial Consultation or after that appointment and still receive the reduced fee for the Initial Consultation. The Bredesen Protocol requires quite a bit of physician time spent interacting with the Bredesen team, interpreting lab tests and other investigations, and other aspects of managing your program of care. This is reflected in the total fee.

An added bonus is that, when the 5 hours have been used, you keep that 20% fee reduction for the rest of a 12 month-period from your Initial Consultation. So, within a year, if you go on to have more physician time after the 5 hours of follow-up time, you keep your access to the reduced fees.

You can cancel your Plan at any time and get unused fees refunded. Cancelling your plan also cancels the reduction in fees, so the refund will be based on the normal fees you would have paid without the Visit Plan (the Regular Fee Schedule).

Please be aware: The five hours of included time is not meant to imply that this is the right amount of time you will need. This is simply the absolute minimum visit time that I think would be needed for a good, useful interaction regarding your health goals over a year. I think almost all people would need or benefit from more consultation time than that to meet their goals. The realistic thing is to expect that you will need or want more consultation time than that.

The Plan is a way to say – if you commit to at least 5 hours of follow-up, I will commit to you being on the reduced fee rate for all your appointments for a year’s time.

So, the 5 hours is my threshold for committing to reduced fees for your visits, not a statement of how much visit time would be best for you. The amount of consultation time will be very different between one person and another, so a one-size-fits-all program fee is not possible.
